I'm Ellis Hiroki Butterfield. I build software at the intersection of AI and clinical research.

I co-founded studyOS, an AI platform for real-time data quality and oversight in clinical trials, focused on clinical-stage biotechs. We built Ash — an AI clinical trial agent — and were acquired by Sitero in November 2025. I'm now CTO at Sitero.

Before studyOS, I built Butterfly Labs, a diagnostic testing company I sold to Lifeforce — a Tony Robbins-backed longevity platform. That experience is what pulled me into clinical data and eventually to studyOS.
